OTTER HP submersible pump system

DNM Industrial Firefighting introduces the Otter HP – the first ultra-light, fully composite submersible pump system for large-scale firefighting. The Otter HP is designed for situations where massive amounts of firefighting water are required in the shortest possible time.

COMPOSITE ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT FLOATING SUBMERSIBLE PUMP SYSTEM

The Otter HP is a hydraulically driven, floating submersible pump system that excels in capacity, mobility, and ease of use. Built with advanced composite technology, the system is exceptionally lightweight and can be handled by just one or two operators. The SP4 submersible pump delivers high volumes of pressurized water, making it ideal for supplying monitors or fire trucks during large-scale incidents.

The Otter HP is powered by a compact power unit suitable for mounting on a trailer or vehicle with a minimum payload capacity of 2,585 kg. With its standard 30-meter hydraulic umbilical, the pump can be flexibly deployed at open water sources that are inaccessible to conventional pumps. This makes the Otter HP a powerful and reliable tool for fast, large-scale water supply in firefighting operations.

Features and Benefits of the Otter HP

  • The first high-flow floating submersible pump made entirely from CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced polymer).

  • Superior corrosion resistance in both fresh and salt water.

  • No priming or suction required.

  • Expands access to a wider range of open water sources.

  • Can be physically handled by one or two responders.

  • Flexible deployment across various terrains.

  • Improves shuttle operations by eliminating the need for a stationary suction pump, reducing tanker refill times.

  • Easy to refuel during operation.

  • Power unit is air-transportable and can be positioned remotely from the water source.

  • Operates with non-toxic, biodegradable hydraulic fluid.
