It involved a large area and therefore the challenge was also in the size of the system. To ensure safe and reliable operation, our specialists conducted extensive research to deliver an extinguishing system that fully meets the customer's needs, but above all provides safety in any situation.
An industrial environment requires a customized extinguishing system that provides security in uncertain situations. In 2018, we were asked for such a customization project for the industrial area of Singapore.
Analysis and advice
Design & test cycle
During the design phase, based on the study, we make drawings of the various components. At this stage, we naturally take into account the regulations in force in Singapore, including those for the transport and use of the system. Before the components are produced, we have all the components inspected by an independent testing agency. Once the components have been produced after inspection, we test them extensively at our location before they are shipped.
Realization
A complete fire extinguishing system was created from the design phase, consisting of:
Two submersible booster pumps, 50,000 lpm each
Two booster pumps, 50,000 lpm each
Two monitor trailers, 40,000 lpm and 80,000 lpm
12" hoses and hose containers including hose pickup device
Manifolds including storage trailer
Before the components are produced, we have all components inspected by an independent inspection service. After the components are produced and inspected, we extensively test them at our location before shipping.
Commissioning
After successful testing, everything was packed and shipped to Singapore. In Singapore, we tested the entire system again and trained the crew. After the theory training, everyone was ready to start the practice. We left behind a team that was ready to extinguish the biggest tanks with the system.
